Even though I'm a born and bred Texan, I always get a little frustrated when it comes to fall here in Austin. The reality is that the season just doesn't really exist here. Yes, the weather gets cooler (sometimes) but for the most part, all of those characteristics that are traditionally associated with fall are a textbook legend to me.
That said, with every October comes a bit of season envy. It hits me mainly in the form of nature. The color changes of the trees and the cooler breezes with hints of the cold weather to come are namely the two culprits, both things I wish I knew firsthand. And at the risk of sounding superficial, I'm also envious when it comes to fall fashion. In Texas, try to dress the part by changing up the colors I wear and throwing in a shawl here or there, pretending it's actually cooler than it is.
