A tiki stunner! This true vintage tiki dress was made in the 1950s and has a gorgeous Hawaiian print in cream and red. Touches of a metallic gold stamping give the fabric a multidimensional look.
This mid century beauty was homemade in a decade of tiki trends. The bodice has double straps that cross over the right shoulder but can be restitched to be worn strapless or on each side. The sarong skirt is slender through to the hem in almost a tulip look. The gathering leads to a bow sash at the hip for a sarong style silhouette.
Dress zips up the side and is fully lined.
Measurements: Bust: 35 inches Waist: 28 inches Hips: 42 inches Dress Length (Underarm to Hem on Side): 37 inches
Label: None, I believe this dress is handmade but excellently done Material: 100% cotton Condition: Great vintage condition. There is one very small mend on the bodice near the back strap. The stays have been very loosely stitched into the bodice. I'm leaving them as is in case the dress needs to be tailored to fit the new owner. A few of them also need to be recovered at that ends.
